H&M!!!!!!!!!

Like a magical signal had been emitted from the heart of Bukit Bintang, all (ok fine, most) gays and fashionistas flocked towards this signal in synchrony... otherwise known as the grand opening of H&M in Malaysia!! And like a droid, I found myself succumbing to materialistic temptation and waiting in line outside the store like all the other eager shoppers to be among the first day's batch of Malaysians and tourists to browse through the store! I wonder if anyone of you spotted me? I was in huge shades and a blue and black thin stripped T-shirt looking oh so gay LOL.

It's not really about buying and spending excessively because I have to watch my wallet, but it was more about the excitement of seeing the collection and imagery. The store was beautiful and bright, the clothes were plentiful. And I gotta say, H&M Malaysia is actually better than H&M Singapore in terms of number of choices (Men's department lah, not sure about Ladies coz I didn't go there), I felt like there was more stuff here. But not everything is suited to my taste, and to be honest the price of some items were actually still not cheap, even though H&M is supposed to be relatively more affordable than other high end stuff. But that didn't stop me from buying a casual T-shirt and a slightly more formal buttoned long sleeve shirt! :D

The best part of being at H&M? The crowd haha!! If you just look around the men's floor, it is so obvious that the number of gays outnumber the straights. OK maybe some are metrosexuals, but they still make excellent eye candy. And so many guys were eyeing me, including a muscular hunk that was just a few people ahead of me in the line to the fitting room, he kept turning back to look at me *blush*! I had just as much fun checking out the guys as I did checking out the clothes.

I know some of you will think, sigh it's just all hype and stuff, H&M is so overrated etc, but I bet that you too will be visiting the store some time this year! Otherwise you're just an outdated turtle ;)

XOXO

    1. True... especially some of the signature or specific items like certain printed T-shirts, I don't like running into someone that's wearing the same thing as me haha!

But then again, H&M sells a lot of basics that are simple and classic designs.. I think those won't go out of style because of the simplicity, it kinda plays more of a functional purpose.. haha not sure what I'm saying also LOL :P

  3. That's so true.

When I walked up to the men's department, oh my oh my.

    Cute guys just everywhere.

Oh ya, when it comes to fashion. It's not so much of the brand, but it's the material how you pick & style it.

    :)

    1. Exactly.. It's nice to go to a store like h&m and just see what is in, and get some ideas on how to style and dress.. I got a copy of their magazine that day, and it really does provide some fashion inspiration haha :)

    1. haha I wasn't there early enough.. I reached there around noon. I heard the first person in line that got the RM500 voucher actually stayed there overnight the day before.... I love fashion and I admire h&m, but not crazy enough to wait hours in line for the voucher :P

    1. hehe don't worry, I realized many of my friends don't know about it either.. coz h&m has never really breached into south east asia, apart from Singapore before this.. And there hasn't been much publicity.

h&m is just a massive retailer in Europe (originated from Sweden). They make what they call 'high street fashion'. It's quality pieces of latest trends. But what I love most about h&m is that every year, they collaborate with high fashion designers and fashion houses to create a more affordable collection.. for example like Versace did a h&m collection. Most people who wouldn't afford to buy a Versace dress can get the h&m version.. It is cheaper because of the mass production, but the design value is still there :D
