HK Sauna Review.... Part 2 - ABC Sauna

This is incredibly overdue! To be honest, I thought everyone would have forgotten my promise to blog about my Hong Kong sauna experiences in Sept last year... I wasn't in the mood when I came back, because of the situation with Joe, then by the time I was finally over him I got lazy haha :P

Special shout out to Tucker K who reminded me I had unfinished business. As long as 1 person out there wants to read it, then I will write it ;)

The details are fuzzy, I'm looking over the itinerary and photos in my laptop, and also some notes I wrote in a tiny note book on budget and spending... I did not document most of the sauna stuff, so I will try my hardest to recall bits and pieces...

OK so the first day I arrived in Hong Kong, it was bloody hot and stuffy, I took a bus from the airport to Mongkok, then dragged my luggage a few streets away to the hotel. There were lots of stairs and I remember sweating a lot haha... After checking in, I went to Victoria Peak, did the whole tram ride and stuff, it was so cooling up there! The views of the harbour from atop as night falls was just spectacular.. For those of you familiar with HK geography, I then walked from the tram station all the way to the Central harbour (Island side), took the Star ferry across to Tsim Sha Tsui (mainland Kowloon side), explored around and took in the views of the skyscrapers on the Island side of the harbour.

The paragraph before was to emphasize that I was already sweaty, tired and slightly dehydrated... It was probably 8-9pm, I somehow thought it was a good idea to check in at a sauna haha... Oh before that, should mention that prior to the trip I did a lot of research on the gay scene, because options are aplenty, so if you're going you should refer to Travel Gay Asia, as well as an excellent blog called Fuel Injected Male that has the most comprehensive writing on HK saunas. Fuelmix will tell you how to get there, sauna etiquette and types of crowd at each venue. Definitely worth a read.

If you read my Part 1 last year, I mentioned picking Big Top (the name is so damn cheesy) as the top of my list, not sure if it's still as hot now. The other premier sauna with the best looking guys was called Hutong, but if you read on Utopia and Fuel Injected Male, you'll know the place is notorious for having a door policy and rejecting clients if they are not deemed hot enough (read: muscular & handsome) by the staff. It really depends on luck, some guys claim they can get in on one day, then rejected on another. With protecting my ego in mind, I decided to give Hutong a miss, because it would be a waste of time to go there only to have to make a detour to somewhere else. Deep down I still feel like I should have tried it, just to know if I was "hot" enough by their standards hahaha..

So on Day 1, I ended up going to ABC Sauna (again the name is like so lame...) simply because it's the only 1 at Tsim Sha Tsui. ABC is run by a group that also owns 3 other saunas in HK, ie Gateway, Action (more on this place later) and Alexander. Apparently its common for saunas to be run by the same management. 

Was really nervous upon finding the place. HK saunas are nestled in tall commercial buildings, you have to ring the bell, get pass the main entrance into the building, take the lift to the right floor then find the actual entrance. My notes said I paid $50HKD to get  in.  

OK I remember it was cooling (was still sweaty), first impression: the place was SMALL!! Everything packed in 1 tiny floor. Stripped naked, clothes into locker, wrapped on towel, explored around. Same routine as here. All saunas in HK are properly equipped, I remember there was like free drinks & snacks, water dispenser, computer stations.. At ABC, there was a nice open shower area but it was very dark LOL, right next to it was the steam room... Adjacent to it was a mini maze, connecting to a tiny video (porn) room that has only 1 couch, and a few private rooms.

There weren't many guys as it was a weekday (Thurs)... probably less than 15 at any one time.. I didn't see anyone that interested me so I just relaxed after a whole afternoon of walking..  What happened next was kind of funny, maybe I was tired / can't think properly LOL... 2 different guys approached me, one was local, about my age; the other was an European tourist (Spanish if I remember correctly), tall, well built, hairy, in his 30s probably... erm, both guys weren't very hot or my type but I didn't want to leave empty handed LOL.... Thing is, both approached me at the same time, it was like tug of war, I was giving confusing mixed signals to both of them, I couldn't decide, so I just grabbed each guy with one hand and pulled them into a private room... I remember both of them were looking at each other rather confused hahahaha.... I just smiled and wasn't sure what was about to happen...

Oh yeah, this means that in my previous post (20 facts), I was wrong about having only 1 threesome experience!! This happened after my first experiment a couple of years ago... OK, I remember both wanted to Top me, the local guy was vers, but because I was too tired to squat over a cock, I basically instructed the Spanish guy to top the local guy haha!! Yeah, so that was a nice way to close out Day 1 of my HK adventure! ;)
